'All Cried Out' was released in 1984 by the great singer songwritter Alison Moyet. It was produced by Jolley and Swain for Moyet's debut studio album Alf (1984).Released as the album's second single, the track peaked at number 7 in the Irish Singles Chart and number 8 in the UK singles Chart, while also reaching number 15 in Switzerland and 24 in Germany.
I loved this single just as much as I loved the album. I was surprised to find out years later that the album is not one of Alison Moyet's favs as she does not like the songs on the album. I know that it was not the type of music she wanted to do after splitting with Yazoo but I feel that this album show case her voice very well and is a very good feel good album for me.
