I had a request for this a while ago from Boom (sorry for delay)and it has taken me a little time to put it up here. I was putting up the 'it's My Party' track (that's the next one) as I just loved that but decided to kick off with this one instead. Hope you like it.'The Loco-Motion' is a 1962 popular music song written by American songwriters Gerry Goffin and Carole King. The song is notable for appearing in the American Top 5 three times – each time in a different decade: for Eva Boyd (under the stage name Little Eva) during 1962 (U.S. number 1); for Grand Funk Railroad in 1974 (U.S. number 1); and for Kylie Minogue in 1988 (U.S. number 3, number 2 in the UK).
However there is a lesser know version. Dave Stewart and Barbara Gaskin recorded their version of the song in 1986. It became the duo's last hit, reaching number 70 on the UK singles chart.
