'Kylie' is the debut album by Australian pop singer Kylie Minogue. It was released by PWL on July 4, 1988.'Kylie' was a number one album in the United Kingdom, and it produced three number one singles in Australia. In North America the album peaked low on the Billboard Charts, yet still impressively managed to sell over 500,000 copies and was certified gold. Later on the album continued selling strong and reached Platinum status.
In Australia, the album was re-issued as The Kylie Collection and featured bonus remixes. In January 1989, Kylie was certified six times Platinum in the UK, and has sold over 5 million copies worldwide.
