Links Are Dead - I Know

I keep getting Emails from people asking me to re-upload the links and music etc. I think people are just getting to those particular pages so are not reading the reason for the dead links.

So I am putting this in place so hopefully people will read it and stop Emailing me about it.

The reason the links are dead is that my account with Media Fire has been closed with all 11,000 files lost. That is why you can not download the things and No I can not re-upload them.

Eventually I will start doing that again when I have found something suitable. In the meantime this blog will be information only blog.

Thank you all

Michaael

Altered Images - Happy Birthday

Well it is my partner, Mark, birthday today. So as part of his celebrations I am dedicating this, and the next, post to him. So happy birthday Mark with all my love.

'Happy Birthday' is the 3rd single released by Alered Images and became thir biggest selling single. With additional guitarist Jim McKinven, they recorded their debut LP, Happy Birthday, seeing them continue their link with Siouxsie and the Banshees, as the band's bassist Steve Severin produced several tracks on it besides the title track.

'Happy Birthday' saw them be catapulted to fame with Grogan standing centre, quirky voice and bubbly character sending the band to number 2 in the UK singles chart in October of that year, establishing the band as one of the biggest New Wave acts around. This was confirmed when they were voted "Best New Group" at the NME awards.

In 1983, 'Happy Birthday' was brought to more widespread American audiences when included in the soundtrack to the John Hughes movie Sixteen Candles.
