Links Are Dead - I Know

I keep getting Emails from people asking me to re-upload the links and music etc. I think people are just getting to those particular pages so are not reading the reason for the dead links.

So I am putting this in place so hopefully people will read it and stop Emailing me about it.

The reason the links are dead is that my account with Media Fire has been closed with all 11,000 files lost. That is why you can not download the things and No I can not re-upload them.

Eventually I will start doing that again when I have found something suitable. In the meantime this blog will be information only blog.

Thank you all

Michaael

Tim Curry - Anything Can Happen On Halloween

Well continuing with the Halloween Theme, here is another track that I loved but this time from a film.

The Worst Witch is a British ITV television series about a group of young witches at a Magic Academy.

In 1986, the first book in the series was converted to a made-for-television film on ITV starring Fairuza Balk, Tim Curry and Diana Rigg. Though a British film, it also aired in the USA on HBO.

The film followed the plot of the first book of the series, portraying the incidents of Mildred turning herself invisible and turning Ethel into a pig, Miss Cackle's evil twin sister Agatha plotting to take over the school, and the Grand Wizard viewing the Halloween Broomstick formation (sabotaged by Ethel's faulty broom she lent to Mildred).

It was shot at St. Michael's College in Tenbury Wells.

The main song in the film that I just loved was the number called 'Anything Can Happen On Halloween'. Sung by Tim Curry the song was composed by Denis King.

Echo And The Bunnymen - People Are Strange

Well it's Halloween again and I thought that I would share a track that I just loved back in 1987.

British group Echo and the Bunnymen recorded a cover version of 'People Are Strange' for the soundtrack of the 1987 film The Lost Boys.

It was subsequently released as a single in 1987 reaching number 29 on the UK Singles Chart in February 1988 and number 13 on the Irish Singles Chart in 1991.

The song was produced by The Doors' keyboard player, Ray Manzarek.

Melissa Manchester - Night Creatures

As it's Halloween Weekend I thought I would share a track that, in name at least, fits in with the theme.

Melissa gives her signature sultry touch to this Martin Page & Jon Lind composition from her Mathematics LP ... produced in crisp and funky fashion by the one and only George Duke!

Coming soon the Album.

Boy George - To Be Reborn

Boy George released his Fourth single in 1987 entitled 'To Be Reborn'.

This was the final track to be released from the Sold album.

A ballad this single made it to number 13 on the UK Singles chart making it the 2nd highest chart plaing for George.

This also is one of my most favourite single by Boy Ggeorge.

Bucks Fizz - My Camera Never Lies

'My Camera Never Lies' is a 1982 single by pop group, Bucks Fizz. It became a UK number-one hit single in April 1982 and was featured on their album Are You Ready.

'My Camera Never Lies' was written by Andy Hill and Nichola Martin and produced by Andy Hill. Hill was the group's regular songwriter and producer, while Martin had been the woman who had put the group together and occasionally co-wrote some songs. This was her only No.1 hit, although she also co-penned the follow-up, 'Now Those Days Are Gone', which was a top 10 hit.

The lyrics concern a man who has become obsessed with a woman, who is clearly not interested, but he thinks differently and has convinced himself that she is lying to herself and so he pursues her. The 'camera' of the title denotes his view of the situation.

'My Camera Never Lies' was the third UK number one single for Bucks Fizz for a single week in April 1982 and saw the group reach the peak of their career, being the follow-up to 'The Land of Make Believe', which had also reached No.1 a few months earlier. The single was one of the group's biggest hits and after a swift rise to the top, remained on the chart for 8 weeks. This was to be the group's final No.1, but gave Bucks Fizz their third chart topper in 12 months. It was one of the top 40 selling singles of the year.

The promotional video which accompanied the song depicted Bucks Fizz dressed as characters from a number of famous movies, such as The Wizard of Oz and Cleopatra.

'My Camera Never Lies' featured on the group's second album, Are You Ready, released two months later. An extended version of the song was released on 12" single. A slight reworking with some re-recorded vocals was released on The Lost Masters album in 2006.

Feargal Sharkey Someone To Somebody

'Someone to Somebody' is pop vocalist Feargal Sharkey's second single of 1986 and last single of the year to be released in the UK.

The b-side for the single 'Coldwater' was exclusive to the single, an instrumental written by Sharkey himself. The song was taken from Sharkey's self-titled solo debut album Feargal Sharkey.

A promotional video was created for the single which featured Sharkey performing the song in a restaurant.

The single failed to become a hit, peaking at number 64 in the UK. The single fared better in Ireland where it made it to number 30.

A special limited edition 12" single was made available in the UK which included a poster bag sleeve.

Stevie Nicks - Rooms On Fire

'Rooms on Fire' is a song by the American singer-songwriter Stevie Nicks. Released in May 1989, it was the first single to be taken from Nicks' fourth solo album, The Other Side of the Mirror.
The song was quite successful on both sides of the Atlantic, reaching number 16 in both the UK (Nicks' first ever UK Top 40 solo hit and her highest chart position there to date) and the U.S. Billboard Chart, and also topped the U.S. Mainstream Rock Tracks chart.

'Rooms on Fire' was performed sporadically at Nicks' live concerts up until New Year's Eve of 1999, though has yet to be played live again.

In a 1989 interview, Nicks gave personal insight as to the meaning of 'Rooms on Fire':

"Rooms on Fire is about a girl who goes through a life like I have gone through, where she finally accepts the idea that there never will be those other things in her life. She will never be married, she will never have children, she will never do those [that] part of life."

In the music video, Nicks is seen holding a baby dressed in white, played by her goddaughter.

Blondie - Rapture

'Rapture' is a single by the American new wave band Blondie. It was released in January 1981 and was the second and final song to be released from the band's 1980 album Autoamerican, the first being 'The Tide Is High', which had topped the chart in the US and UK.

'Rapture' went on to reach number one on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, number one on the U.S. Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart number 4 in Australia, and number five in the UK singles chart. The B-side was 'Walk Like Me', also from Autoamerican.

Debuting in 1981, the music video was the first rap video ever broadcast on MTV. Set in the East Village section of Manhattan, the "Man from Mars" or "voodoo god" (dancer William Barnes in the white suit and top hat) is the introductory and central figure. Barnes also choreographed the piece. The final shot is a one-take scene of Debbie Harry dancing along the street, passing by graffiti artists, Uncle Sam, a Native American and a goat. Fab Five Freddy and graffiti artists Lee Quinones and Jean-Michel Basquiat make cameo appearances. Basquiat was hired when Grandmaster Flash did not show for the filming.

Duran duran - Planet Earth

'Planet Earth' is the debut single by the English pop rock band Duran Duran, released on 2 February 1981.

It was an immediate hit in the UK, reaching number 12 on the UK Singles Chart on 21 February, and did even better in Australia, hitting number 8 to become Duran Duran's first Top 10 hit anywhere in the world.

The song later appeared on the band's eponymous debut album Duran Duran, released in June, 1981.

The music video for the song was directed by future film director Russell Mulcahy, who would go on to direct a dozen more for the group.

Fairly primitive by the band's later standards, the video features the band (dressed in frilly, floppy New Romantic fashions) playing the song on a white stage tricked out with special effects to look like a platform made of ice or crystal. Interspersed with the performance are shots of the band members alongside the four elements. The video focused closely on the band's faces. The instrumental middle section features friends of the band from the Rum Runner nightclub dancing in their outlandish outfits. At the end of the video, singer Simon Le Bon leaps from the stage, caught in a freeze frame shot above an apparently bottomless abyss.

For most countries, the B-side track for the 'Planet Earth' single is a concert favorite called 'Late Bar' which was one of the earliest songs Duran Duran had written together after their classic Le Bon/Rhodes/Taylor/Taylor/Taylor lineup had solidified. However, the B-side track for the North American release of 'Planet Earth' is 'To The Shore'.

Depeche Mode - People Are People

'People Are People' is Depeche Mode's tenth UK single (released on 12 March 1984) it was their first hit single in the US and the first single for the Some Great Reward album.

'People Are People' was written by Martin Gore, but the dancy poppy feel of the song may actually be credited to Alan Wilder. Alan did write the B-side, 'In Your Memory'.

Each song has an extended remix, the 'Different Mix' and the 'Slik Mix' respectively (although sometimes the 'In Your Memory' mix is incorrectly called the 'Slick Mix' instead).

The Clive Richardson-directed 'People Are People' video came in two versions. The original was made for the Single version, but an alternate video was made with the 'Different Mix'. The music video featured footage of various war scenes, mixed with footage of the band aboard the HMS Belfast. The 'Different Mix' video appears on Some Great Videos.

Despite 'People Are People's' success, Martin Gore considers it to be one of his least favourite songs. He prefers his songs to have subtle meanings so that people can find their own meanings to it, and feels 'People Are People' does not fit that description.

The US got a compilation called People Are People with various songs not available in the US prior to it. The single itself was released in the USA on 11 July 1984 (though it did not reach the Billboard Hot 100 chart until May 1985, and initially was played only on modern rock and college radio).

The single would eventually peak at number 13 in the US. In the UK, the single reached number 4, which was at the time the band's highest singles chart position in their homeland.

RuPaul covered and released the song on his 2004 album Red Hot. RuPaul's version features Tom Trujillo and was released as a retail single on 26 January 2006. The single has so far peaked at number 10 on the Billboard Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart.

Level 42 - Sandstorm

1979 saw the band Level 42 coming together and beginning to develop their unique style. By 1980 the band had signed to Elite records.

This is where it gets interesting.

Elite records produced a White Label 12 inch record to promote 2 artists.

Released in either 1979 or 1980 1100 white label records (Elite DAZZ-04) were produced commercially (however this is sometimes disputed as only being 500).

Level 42 provided the B-side of the 12 inch with the instrumental track 'Sandstorm'.

The A-side was provided by Powerline (an alias for Andy Sojka) with the rare sax version of 'Journey to...'.

The release was purely commercial, the 'white labels' were used to give the record 'underground' credibility.

This 12 inch is now one of the most sort after by Level 42 fans as it is their first commercially available record.

David Bowie - Modern Love

'Modern Love' is a song written and recorded by David Bowie, and the first track on his album Let's Dance. It was issued as the third single from the album in 1983.

Bowie has claimed the song is inspired by Little Richard, and it maintains the album's theme of a struggle between God and man. Some commentators noted the similarities between the track and Elton John's near-simultaneous hit "I'm Still Standing", although both parties admitted the songs were recorded at roughly the same time with no knowledge of the other.

By the time 'Modern Love' was issued and edited as a single, Bowie's Serious Moonlight Tour was underway. The track had become a popular encore on the tour, and Jim Yukich's video for the song used footage of Bowie and his band performing the song from the July 20, 1983 concert in Philadelphia. A live version, recorded in Montreal on July 13, was on the B-side.

The single reached number 2 in the UK, and number 14 on the US Billboard Hot 100. As well as being a staple of the tour, it featured in Bowie's set at Live Aid in 1985, and in his subsequent Glass Spider and Sound+Vision tours of 1987 and 1990. A re-recording with Tina Turner was also featured on a Pepsi commercial in 1987.

Forrest - Rock The Boat

'Rock the Boat' is a disco song by the group Hues Corporation in 1974. It is sometimes considered the first disco record to reach number one on the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States.

'Rock the Boat' was covered in 1982 by the Dutch/American singer Forrest Thomas.

His version made it to number 4 on the UK singles chart and the top 10 of the American Dance/Disco chart.

The video also features Sinitta, before she was famous and being 15 years old at the time.

Charlene - I've Never Been To Me

'I've Never Been to Me' is a sleeper hit single performed by American singer Charlene Oliver née D'Angelo.

Upon its initial release in 1977, the song reached number 97 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart. In 1982, renewed interest in the song led to the single reaching Number 3 in the USA and Number 1 in the UK. The song also reached number 1 in Australia for six weeks and in Canada for four weeks.

Originally written from a male point of view, the song was rewritten by Ron Miller for Charlene. The male version is sung from the perspective of an old man begging for a dime for a cup of coffee, addressing a younger man who is "raising hell" the way the old man used to do. The female version is sung to a housewife who wishes that she could trade her everyday life for the exciting, fantastic life led by the singer. The singer tells of some of the highlights of her life, but the tone is bittersweet and she wishes that someone had told her what she is telling the listener. She has learned what is important, but now it is too late. She finds her life hollow and without purpose, having lost her real self years before — the "me" she has never been to, is the life that she would have led if she had not been lured away by false ideas.

Charlene did two versions of the song. The version which was initially released was actually the second version which Charlene recorded. Her original version (which became more popular) has an expanded bridge, over which the singer makes an impassioned comparison between the non-committal "fantasy about people and places as we'd like them to be," versus the committed real love of a family.

Eurythmics - 1984 - For The Love Of Big Brother - OST Album

'1984 (For the Love of Big Brother)' is a soundtrack album by Eurythmics, containing music recorded by the group for director Michael Radford's colour remake film version of George Orwell's classic dystopian novel, Nineteen Eighty-Four. Virgin Films produced the film for release in its namesake year, and commissioned Eurythmics to write a soundtrack.

Lennox and Stewart worked as a duo for these recordings, with no contribution from other musicians. The music, whilst containing many electronic elements, was far from being "synth pop"; Stewart described some tracks as being like "Kraftwerk meets African tribal meets Booker T and the MGs."

Unknown to the group, Radford had commissioned his own orchestral score, and was not fond of Eurythmics' work. Two versions of the film were released, one featuring Eurythmics' music, and the "director's cut", which replaced most of Eurythmics' music by the orchestral score. When accepting an award for the film, Radford publicly complained of having Eurythmics' music "foisted" on him. Eurythmics issued a statement that they had accepted Virgin's commission in good faith, and would never have done so if they had known that it was not being done with the director's approval.

Most of the tracks are instrumental, with song titles and lyrics of two songs on the album being derived from Orwell's text. For instance, "I Did It Just The Same" is taken from a passage in the book where the protagonist, Winston Smith, relates how he committed "sexcrime" with a prostitute—initially deceived by her makeup, when he got close to her, he realised she was "about fifty - but I did it just the same". "Julia" was the name of Winston's lover. "Sexcrime" and "Doubleplusgood" are examples of Newspeak, the revised version of the English language spoken in Orwell's story.

Two singles were released from the album, the punchy pop track, 'Sexcrime (Nineteen Eighty-Four)', and the long, gentle ballad, 'Julia'. The former was a top 10 hit in most territories, however, 'Julia' achieved little commercial success.

The album reached number 23 in the UK Album Chart.

Thereza Bazar is one half of UK pop vocal duo Dollar. She released one solo album in 1985 called 'The Big Kiss', which she co-wrote.

It was produced by Arif Mardin and featured the singles 'The Big Kiss' and 'Too Much in Love'.

The album reportedly cost half a million pounds to produce and generated media attention, but according to Bazar, the album's circulation was poor due to a mix-up at the record company, with the album unavailable at the time of its advertised release.

Today Bazar mentions the incident as the most upsetting of her career, but she has high regard for the album, saying it had "a strong pedigree.

Little Shop Of Horrors - Soundtrack

Little Shop of Horrors is a 1986 American black comedy musical film adaptation of the off-Broadway musical comedy of the same name by composer Alan Menken and writer Howard Ashman, about a nerdy florist shop worker who raises a vicious plant that feeds on human blood. Menken and Ashman's off-Broadway musical was based on the low-budget 1960 film The Little Shop of Horrors, directed by Roger Corman.

The film was directed by Frank Oz, and stars Rick Moranis, Ellen Greene, Steve Martin, and the voice of Levi Stubbs as the plant. Ashman wrote the film's screenplay, his first and only one before his death in 1991.

Little Shop of Horrors was filmed on the Albert R. Broccoli 007 Stage at the Pinewood Studios in England, where a "downtown" set, complete with overhead train track, was constructed. The film was produced on a budget of $30 million, in contrast to the original 1960 film, which, according to Corman, only cost $30,000. The film's original 23-minute ending, based on the musical's ending, was rewritten and reshot after receiving negative reviews from test audiences and has never been seen since besides black-and-white workprint footage.

The character of the masochistic dental patient, Arthur Denton, played in the original film by Jack Nicholson and cut from the stage version, was added back to the story and played by Bill Murray.

Greene was not the first choice for the role of Audrey. The studio wanted Cyndi Lauper, who turned it down. Barbra Streisand was also rumoured to have been offered the part. Since Greene was the original off-Broadway Audrey, the role was given to her.

The song created for the film, "Mean Green Mother from Outer Space", written by Howard Ashman and Alan Menken, was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Song. It caused a small degree of controversy at the Academy Awards because it was the first Oscar-nominated song to contain profanity and thus had to be censored for the show.

The film's 23-minute original ending, based on the off-Broadway musical's ending, was rewritten and re-shot after receiving negative reviews from test audiences. The new ending, written by Ashman, changes the fates of the film's main characters and allows for a (basically) happy ending. The film's rarely seen original ending was the preferred choice of Oz and the majority of the actors, including Moranis.

As originally conceived and filmed, the story follows the stage musical's plot: Audrey is attacked by Audrey II and dies in Seymour's arms, begging him to feed her to the plant so that Seymour will get all the fame he deserves. Seymour does so, and in the process coincidentally fulfills Audrey's great wish, that she be "somewhere that's green". After Seymour feeds Audrey to the plant, he attempts to commit suicide by jumping off Audrey's apartment complex. Before he can, Patrick Martin (played in this version by Paul Dooley) climbs to the roof to persuade Seymour to let him cut samples of the plant so that they can grow into little Audrey IIs and be sold across America. Seymour quickly slides down the ladder and crosses the street to Mushnik's while Martin reminds him that plants are in the public domain and can be sold without his permission. After confronting the plant as it sings "Mean Green Mother from Outer Space", the plant tears down the shop, plucks Seymour out of the rubble, and eats him. It then spits out his glasses, and laughs evilly as the scene fades to black.

Oz and Ashman scrapped Audrey and Seymour's grim deaths and the finale rampage, and Ashman rewrote a happier ending, with James Belushi replacing Paul Dooley (who was unavailable) as Patrick Martin. In the happy ending, Audrey II is killed and Seymour, Audrey, and humanity survive. The musical number "Mean Green Mother from Outer Space" was left intact from the original cut, but shots of Audrey observing from a window were added in. This happy ending is somewhat ambiguous, however, with a final shot of a smiling Audrey II bud in Seymour and Audrey's front yard. Tisha Campbell was unavailable for the final appearance of the chorus girls in the yard and was replaced with a lookalike seen only from the waist down. A brief scene earlier in the film, in which Seymour asks Audrey to marry him, was also re-shot to provide context for the new ending.

Below is the complete soundtrack of the film.

Eurythmics - Would I Lie To You

'Would I Lie to You?' is a song recorded by British pop duo Eurythmics. It was written by band members Annie Lennox and David A. Stewart.

Released in the UK and the U.S. from Eurythmics' fifth album 'Be Yourself Tonight', the song was the first by the duo to feature their change in musical direction from synthpop to rock and R&B. The song, and its accompanying album, featured a full backing band and relied less on electronic programming.

Lyrically, the song features Lennox confronting a cheating lover as she leaves him for good. As she declares that she is "walking out the door" and he doubts her, Lennox's response is "would I lie to you honey? / now would I say something that wasn't true?"

The music video was heavily shown on MTV, the clip beginning with an angry confrontation between Lennox and her boyfriend (during which he calls her a "bitch"), just prior to a Eurythmics performance.

After some friendly encouragement backstage from bandmate Stewart, the full band performs the song, only to have Lennox's boyfriend return to the venue, climb up onto the stage, and get pushed off into the audience by Lennox. Steven Bauer played the part of the boyfriend.

'Would I Lie to You?' is one of Eurythmics' most recognized tunes. The song continued the bands hit singles run. In the UK, the song peaked at number 17, while it went to number five on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, becoming their third Top 10 hit in the U.S.. Furthermore, it is the duo's biggest ever hit in Australia, where it topped the singles chart for two weeks.

Alison Moyet - Invisible

'Invisible' is a song recorded by Alison Moyet in 1984, written by Lamont Dozier (of the songwriting team Holland–Dozier–Holland), from her album Alf.

Reaching number 21 on the UK Singles Chart, the song went as high as number 6 in Ireland, and gave Moyet her third Irish top 10 hit of the year.

The song is Moyet's most successful American single, reaching number 31 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the spring of 1985 and becoming her only US Top 40 hit, either solo or with Yazoo, thus far. It was also the first single from Alf to be released there.

There are two versions of the music video for the song. In the first version, Moyet is seen at a party surrounded by friends, all of whom appear to have partners of various forms. She walks into another room to perform the song. Moyet is often seen singing alone outside, or in what appears to be a cupboard. There are also many cutaways to where Moyet walks through the party unnoticed (hence, she is invisible). The video ends with her drinking a glass of wine and lost in thought.

The second version of the video mostly features Moyet performing the song and omits many of the party scenes. It concludes with Moyet walking out of the room and into a white light. In both videos, there are moments when the camera pans on what seems to be a silver rhombus with the letter 'i' in the middle.

The lyrics are about being in love with someone who continues to cheat and lie, despite proclaiming their 'invisible' love for her.

Sheena Easton - For Your Eyes Only

'For Your Eyes Only' is the theme tune to the 12th James Bond movie, For Your Eyes Only, written by Bill Conti and Mick Leeson, and performed by Scottish singer Sheena Easton. It was nominated for Best Song at the Academy Awards in 1982.

The American new wave band Blondie wrote a song entitled 'For Your Eyes Only' in the hopes of making it the upcoming James Bond film's opening-title theme. The producers preferred another song with the same title, written by Bill Conti and Mike Leeson. Blondie turned down an offer to record Conti and Leeson's song. (The band later included their 'For Your Eyes Only' song on the 1982 album The Hunter.)

Sheena Easton was keen to accept the offer to perform Conti and Leeson's song for the film. She had recently scored a No.1 hit in America with 'Morning Train' and was becoming a big name throughout the world.

Easton is the only artist to be seen singing the theme song to a Bond movie during its opening titles. Her seductive appearance in these clips was, according to Roger Moore, more sexy than any of the Bond girls, although Easton herself states that the filming process was very unglamorous. Easton is one of three Scots to have sung a Bond theme, the others being Lulu's singing 'The Man with the Golden Gun' and Shirley Manson (as part of the band Garbage) for 'The World Is Not Enough'.

The single became a would wide hit making it to number 8 in the UK Singles Chart, number 4 in the US Billboard Hot 100 and number 1 in the Swiss Chart.

The video 'For Your Eyes Only' was directed by Steve Barron.

Erasure - Oh L'amour

'Oh L'amour' is a song by English synth pop duo Erasure, released in April 1986 as their third single.

It was issued by Mute Records in the UK and Sire Records in the U.S. to herald the June release of Erasure's debut album Wonderland, but became the third consecutive commercial failure for the band in both territories. Despite its low chart placing, 'Oh L'amour' has proven to be one of Erasure's signature songs, due to its popularity in dance clubs. It remains a favorite among fans, particularly when performed live.

Written by Erasure members Vince Clarke and Andy Bell, 'Oh L'amour' is a lament from someone experiencing unrequited love ("broke my heart / now I'm aching for you").

In 1986, "Oh L'amour" climbed to number eighty-five on the UK singles chart and became Erasure's first big hit in South Africa number 2, in Germany number 16, in Australia number 13 and their only one in France number 14. In the United States, the song's biggest impact was on the Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart, where it hit number three. A different mix of the song was submitted for the single release, adding new instrumentation and extra sounds. This version appears on all of the band's compilation albums.

'Oh L'amour' was remixed in 2003 and released as a single again to promote the greatest hits package Hits! The Very Best of Erasure. In its remixed form, the song finally became a Top 20 UK hit, peaking at number thirteen in autumn 2003.

The single was originally relesed with characters from Thomas The Tank Engine on the cover. This had to be withdrawn and replaced in the UK with a black sleeve.

So to the single:

In 1982-3 the Kids From Fame cast undertook a tour which included the UK. From that tour a single was released featuring Carlo Imperato singing a song from the show entitled 'Friday Night'. The single version was taken from the UK leg of the tour, which was recorded at the Royal Albert Hall.

The single was also taken from the Live Album also released in 1983.

Later in 1983 the cast undertook a second tour which took in the rest of Europe and Isreal. It was in Isreal that the song was performed slightly different from the single version.

Black - Wonderful Life - 1987 Version

Friday I posted the original version of this single by Black.

Now fast forward a couple of years later and the single was re-released, but this time on A&M Records, following the success of the previous single 'Sweetest Smile'.

Included on the Album of the same name the single became a great success reaching number 8 on the UK Singles Chart and became a big hit around Europe and Australia.

The music video was shot in black and white around the English seaside resort of New Brighton, near Black's hometown Liverpool, and features New Brighton Lighthouse and Promenade. It was directed by Gerard De Thame, husband of Rachel De Thame, and won an award at the NY Film Festival in 1988.
